Designed for a discerning Delhi-based client, these two villas were envisioned as distinct family pieds-à-terre—one for the parents and the other for the children—each thoughtfully tailored with its own unique theme. Located in North Goa, the client was resolute in their desire to move away from the conventional Portuguese villa style that is so prevalent in the area, seeking instead a design that was more akin to New Delhi.

As their designer, my vision with my team was to create a timeless synthesis that blended the modern British colonial aesthetic—prevalent in Delhi NCR—with elegant elements of classic Goan Portuguese design. While the floor plates presented spatial limitations, our aim was to enhance the sense of openness and spaciousness. We advised the client against adding superfluous bedrooms, opting instead for double-height spaces and expansive rooms with thoughtfully designed closet areas. This strategy not only maximized the available space but also fostered an atmosphere of sophistication, comfort, and effortless elegance.
